there’s a full moon out tonight!

in keeping in the theme of last week, here is a story from my trip to nebraska last week…..

friday night, we all decide to check out a new hot spot in town because there is a $1 beer special. i cannot remember the name of it at this moment, and i think once you read this story, you will realize why there is really only one memory burned into my brain about this evening. anyways, we all go and sit down at our little lounge area and start to enjoy the live music and cheap beer. mmmm. well, after a little bit, we decide we should go play some pool. ok…great! so we go over the the other side of the bar and proceed to get all set up. the teams are decided….and we begin. i notice a table close to where we are playing pool that has an interesting mix of people. but don’t really give too much thought to it…just figure they are a group of friends that are having a good time on a friday night.

cut to about halfway through our game, when a bachelorette party comes walking in. a BIG bachelorette party at that…i’d say by the time all the girls got there, the count was about 20 girls. and they are all looking cute in their going out clothes…picture the latest trends in fashion and you have an idea of how these girls are dressed…cute summer dresses, cute kitten heels, cute tanks….just plain cute. cute enough that it immediately livens up the previously mentioned table by where we are playing pool…especially one gentleman in particular. he immediately comes out of his shell and calls the girls over to their table to chat.

at first, it looked as though it would work out perfectly for these girls…as they had a list of tasks that needed to be completed by the bride to be in order to receive her prizes. anyone that has been involved in a bachelorette party knows what i’m talking about. girls make brides do some crazy things the nights leading up to their wedding. i’d like to take this moment to beg for mercy from bethany and brie when i get married. i’m sorry for eggin you on and making you do all those crazy things. please have mercy on this girl when she is to be wed. ok! so anyways, the first “task” that was to be completed was taking a shot…from a strategic location. we’ll leave it at that. so that was funny…seeing this bride, handcuffed to a stranger, and trying to take a shot from his body… ha ha…so funny.

BUT! the story does not end there. oh no. after about 10 minutes of banter and increasingly louder and louder yelling, one gentleman suddenly becomes the life of the party and decides to perform another task off the bride to be’s checklist…. i couldn’t really hear what the task entailed…i just know what i saw. i will try my best to describe it here.

mr. life of the party man all of the sudden jumps up on the table he is sitting out, proceeds to lose his balance and fall off the table. gets up, laughs a lot and yells something hilarious that makes all the girls giggle. gets up on the table again and has his friend hold it steady. weird but whatever. OH BUT THEN! he unbuttons his pants as if he is a stripper….and proceeds to MOON the entire bar. but it just leaves it out there hanging for a good 2 minutes. laughing, yelling, kind of shaking but really just standing there. of course, it is right by where we are trying to play pool and we cannot ignore the man butt in our view. wow. um, it was awkward and i found myself wondering what i had done in my life that karma would come back to me and have it be that i would see two full moons in a matter of 4 days.

i could continue on about how mr. life of the party got down from the table and proceeded to dance with these young girls until the band went off for a break but that would only take away from the fact that he mooned the entire bar.

wow people. wow. seriously. how does this happen??? and why am i always without my phone when this happens so i can’t snap a picture for proof??? ha ha ha
